Outlook 2007 Add-Ins and Crashes

It looks like the SnagIt add-in for Outlook doesn't play nicely with Outlook 2007 -- I was having constant crashes when trying to open Calendar entries.  That stinks.  Acrobat 6 may also cause problems.

Unfortunately, it appears that Microsoft has left add-in management out of Outlook 2007.  The only way to disable misbehaving add-ins is hack the registry.  Open RegEdit and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\SnagItOfficeAddin.Connect.  Set the LoadBehavior key value to 0.

Things seem to be behaving a bit more nicely now.

How odd - thanks for the heads-up. I use SpamBayes and, after upgrading to Outlook 2007, it crashed and disabled the add-in. I'm having other troubles too :(

Got to Tools | Trust Center... | Add-ins. To enable or disable an add-in select the appropriate group from the "Manage" widget at the bottom, and press "Go"

Thanks so much for posting this. Sure enough I installed the trial of Snagit and didn't even realize it had an outlook plugin. Disabled it and am crash free now!

I know many various programs for resolving problems associated with MS Outlook. But once I had very complicated problem which I could solve out by means of an one program, which to my mind served to be in list of the most suitable decisions such issues - repair .pst file.
