John Scalzi's got
a terrific post on how the publishing/writing business is changing, at least by his line of reasoning. According to Scalzi, revenue streams won't be primarily from selling printed matter, they'll be from ancillary lines such as blog ads, material sold from an author's site, etc.
Regarding publishers and editors, as General Shinseki said, "If you don't like change, you're going to like irrelevance even less."
